A BIT ABOUT ME
Your Coach
After being introduced to the game of Golf at the age of 12 by my Dad, I was quickly hooked. From that day on all I wanted to be was a Professional Golfer. That dream became reality when in 1992 I turned Professional at Three Rivers Golf Club In Essex. Under the guidance of Graham Packer I became a fully Qualified Professional in 1997. In 1999 I left Three Rivers to lead and develop a new Teaching Academy at a prestigious hotel Golf & Tennis Complex In Toronto Canada. Having fulfilled my role in Canada, I moved back to England. In 2001 I joined the Dorset Golf & Country Club and in 2004 became the Club's Head Professional, a role that I truly cherish. From my years of teaching at different clubs in different countries, gathering a wealth of knowledge from fellow professionals at the top of their profession Ibelieve I am the best person to take you on your golfing journey. I am extremely passionate about being active, healthy and developing the proper techniques. But I’m also extremely passionate about the game and ready to help my clients improve theirs. I’ve been told I’m tough but understanding, and I give each player the individual guidance they need to exceed their potential.

INDIVIDUAL LESSONS
Private Lessons are a great choice to improve your performance. Through a strategic mix of theoretical sessions and practical sessions and you’re looking to elevate your game, Private Lessons with Scott Porter Golf are for you.
SPECIALTY LESSONS
Here I’ll teach you the ins and outs of the game. I offer dedicated sessions to the short game, half day sessions on every aspect of the game and course strategy sessions

FREE 30 Minute Swing Assessment
We use this 30 minute session to meet and discuss your goals and what I can do to help you improve your game. With the information you have given, we can then plan and develop your coaching programme to lower both your scores and handicap.
(If using the free assessment any future lesson must be a minimum of six 30 minute sessions)
Short Game Session £149
This session is dedicated the area that is the most neglected by club golfers, yet 70% of shots are from within 100 yards of the green. This short game dedicates three hours of coaching and focuses on every aspect of the short game from chipping, pitching, bunkers and putting
Half Day Program £199
A full four hours of coaching that covers every aspect of your game.
Two hours on the driving range building and honing your swing to transform it into a repeatable action to give a consistent shot shape.
Two hours of short game coaching dedicated to the scoring zone and shot saving area of the game
Course Strategy £120 (two hours)
During the lesson you learn how to navigate your way around the golf course, hitting the right shot a the right time, when to be aggressive and when to play smart. Develop you can trust to deliver the right shot time and time again. Learn how to deal with expectations, manage stress and visualisation of the required shot

WHERE I WORK
I have been fortunate but also honoured to be the Head Professional and The Dorset Golf & Country Club Since 2004. Rated in the TOP 150 English Courses, the Lakeland, Parkland and Woodland at The Dorset were designed by the prolific course designer Marin Hawtree. Hawtree has received international acclaim for his excellent work worldwide. Martin Hawtree is considered one of the best course designers in the world today having added his touches to St. Andrews when he redesigned some holes on behalf of the R&A which means the pedigree here at The Dorset Golf & Country Club.The outstanding Scandinavian style log houses here art the Dorset Resort are not seen in the English Countryside. Made entirely from trees grown in the Nordic forest of Finland. The homes combine simplicity with luxury. You are to tent fully inclusive or self catering from two days to seven days in these wonderful homes. All the houses are set in quite a woodland glade surrounded by magnificent pine trees and wonderful wildlife. there are 12 log houses all furnished with log burning stove, balcony and sauna to relax and unwind.
